Land and Water Forms

We made salt dough and rolled it out and then cut out the different landform shapes. The parts we cut away became the water forms. For each land form there is an opposite water form, ie. cut a peninsula from some dough and remove the peninsula, the piece of dough that is left behind naturally form a gulf. Cool! After the kids made all the forms, we decided to make one big land mass and try to put each land form and each water form on the land mass - all together. The kids had fun thinking of strange names for all the features.
