Our Spices
For the Egyptians it is not a simple matter of putting a pharaoh in the ground after he/she dies. What is important to them is the way the pharaoh lives after he/she dies. They believe the spirits keep living if we make necessary preparations. First, the bodies must be well preserved. Priests prepare the bodies with spices and oil (we used salt and baking soda). One of the last things is to wrap the bodies in cloth (we wraped Barbie).
The Great Pyramids of Giza were built around 2570 BC. We learned ancient pharaohs were buried in the Great Pyramids and the Great Sphinx. You can too.here
King Tut was a real pharaoh who lived thousands of years ago. He did a very good job of hiding his tomb. In 1922, Tut's tomb was discovered. The tomb was full of objects that had been buried with the kid pharaoh.
